#78 Background Music

'And that's a wrap,' came Jace's voice after reviewing the footage.  'Let's go to the next location.  Seiichi.  Where was that?'
'Sato's classroom.  We already have approval from the headmaster.  I called ahead.  Had to pretend to be Nori, since he's your guys' manager.'
A laughter resounded through the room, well all but Sami.  He just remained quiet looking off into the distance.  Not that he didn't think it was funny, or that he was upset, but he just was lost in thought.  He hadn't imagined doing this with Seiichi in the slightest.  Of all the kids, he was the one who hid his vocal abilities the most.   People probably didn't even know he sang.  But all the kids had been raised with voice and music lessons.  It probably just was because of how busy Seiichi made himself.  Sami knew that it couldn't possibly be that his most outgoing of all his children was shy about it.
It took some time to gather all the equipment and relocate it to the classroom, but eventually they made it. 'Mamo, get Sami dressed in this area's outfit. Sato, rest for now, we're going to record them singing first. And Sei, change.'
'Sure thing bro.' Mamo told Jace.  And the younger set of twins nodded.
'Do we have the keyboard?' Jace asked one of the techs. When he recieved an affirmative answer, he then said, 'Hmm... With the lighting, lets put it in that corner.  Actually... better idea.' Jace tapped his lips. 'We'll have Sami sit at the desk as he plays, feet on the desk.'
Sato laughed at that idea. 'Way to mismatch his personality, Uncle Jace.'
'Hey, I'd have Sei there, but he's playing the keyboard.'
'Why don't you have Sei hold the keyboard in his lap then.  After all, the whole reason we brought the keyboard was because of the portability.'
'Then where would we put your dad?'  Jace already had an idea, but he was testing his nephew.
'Have him sit on the desk, kind of sideways so he can look at Sei.'
'Hmmm.' Jace pretended to think about it.  'Yeah, we can do that. Oh... and Sato, wear your hair down please.'
Sato sighed and then walked over to his desk and pulled out a brush from the top drawer. 'I don't usually teach with my hair down, but fine.' He pulled out his low ponytail, and brushed it out.
'Well, since this is your first music video that you and Sei are appearing in together, we need a way to tell you apart.'
'Great.  Does this mean I'll never be able to cut my hair again?  And also, don't Sei's glasses do the trick enough?'
Jace laughed. 'That's right, you can NEVER cut your hair, Satoshi. And not quite.  And don't worry about it, your dad wears his hair down to go with his sunglasses look, and that's what his identity in the music world centers on. At least when we force him out of his shell.  Otherwise its just 'Quiet twin' which doesn't exactly work for you two does it?'
'Fine,' Sato muttered as he finished brushing his hair and tightened his tie. 'I hate this uniform.'
'Boys you ready yet?'
Out came Seiichi and Isamu, dressed in the student uniform, a black shirt, black pants, a lavender jacket, and a black and lavender tie (School colors.) Slung across their chests were black leather shoulder bags.  Sei as was his trademark was dressed 'lazily'.  Top two buttons undone, tie loosened, and holding the jacket over his shoulder with one finger.  Sami was dressed appropriately, but looked like he was staring off in the distance.
Mamo chuckled. 'Sami hasn't changed a lick since high school, has he?'
'Nope,' Jace said with a grin.  He'd gone to the other specialty school in town, but he'd seen Sami in uniform enough. 'And Sei looks like Sato did in high school.'
'Hey, I was not that lazy with my uniform!' Sato protested.
'Sure you were!'
'Sei help me out!'
Seiichi shrugged. 'Hey... I was at the academy for your first year, and then I got to work... I rarely saw you in uniform, cause you were half out of it by the time you got home.'
'Gee thanks.'
Jace coughed.  'Okay okay, enough reminiscing. Sei, take a seat at Sato's desk.'
'Seriously?'
'Unfortunately,' Sato mumbled.
'YES!  Sato never lets me sit at his desk.' He ran to the desk and lounged back in the chair with his feet up on the desk.  
'He doesn't even need instruction on his pose,' Sato grumbled.
'Not my fault that you're an uptight freak, Sato,' Seiichi teased.
'Watch it or I'll--'
'I wouldn't challenge me to a fight, Sato. You know I always win.  Now where's my keyboard?'


Sometime later, Hiroki appeared at the school.  He looked at his phone, trying to decipher his partner's text.

'Another incident at the school.  Meet me there in half-hour, don't worry about
contacting Aya and Ael. I took care of it.'

Why hadn't he heard anything about it until now. Furthermore, Sei already contacted Ael and Aya?  The idiot always made him do it. And then he heard voices.  Was it coming from Sato's classroom.  He walked faster, but then slowed down when he realized the voices were singing.  He recognized the tenor singing voice.  Who didn't?  Sami was famous, after all he was part of Blood Rose Thorn.  But who was the bass voice?  It had to be a Masahiro, right?  He supposed it could be one of the Himura triplets, but he was pretty certain he'd heard Naoki and Nori's singing before, and that voice couldn't possibly be Rie's.
He stood in the doorway, watching the performance in shock.  He didn't even notice when a camera turned on him.  That was ... SEI?!  He figured the guy had musical talents, he'd heard him play the piano, but sing?  No. That he hadn't heard. He watched as Sei and Sami smiled at each other like they were sharing a secret as they wrote on the blackboard, with Sato non-verbally 'scolding them'. And was Sei wearing a school uniform?  Damn they should have gone to high school if that's how Sei would have dressed.

Suddenly out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Mamo wave for Hiro to go to Sei. Jace was nodding and already in position to run to Sami.  Oh... They were filming?  What was this? He then looked at the words written on the board, and then HAD to run to Seiichi.  He grabbed his partner by the shoulder, and turned him around and planted a kiss on his lips., deep and loving.
Jace ran to Sami, and took him in a loving embrace, but both Sami and Jace watched Hiro and Sei like proud parents.  The cameras rolled for a couple moments more, pausing to focus on the words, and then Mamo said, 'And cut!' He reviewed the footage and then said, 'First take... Nice guys!  That's a wrap!'

Seiichi and Hiroki didn't even seem to notice anymore that there were people around. The blonde lifted his partner's legs and wrapped them around him, as they kept kissing.  When he needed to stop for air, he then moved to his love's neck, and bared his fangs, piercing them in.
'Mm...Hiro...Does this mean...'
Hiroki pried his teeth out of his lover's neck and said, 'Of course, my favorite insatiable flirt.' He looked once more at the words, and then back at Seiichi, and said, 'I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend too, so of course I'm going to say yes.'
